The Gravity Rotation Sensor V2 is arduino compatible multi-ring rotation sensor. It is based on multi-turn precision potentiometer. It can rotate upto 10 laps. The voltage can be subdivided into 1024 copies. With the usage of special sensors expansion can be achieved accurately.

Sensor is not so robust

My students were supposed to use this cheap sensor in a position control final project, however I realized how easy is to damage the sensor. The sensor was not as robust as an ordinary potentiometer but it works great. I could not find enough information about the sensor design (datasheet) in order to know how the sensor actually works and the leakage of information causes to damage the sensor easily.

very low quality

We have bought 4 pieces. To of them (housing) were brake during the mounting process. (without any extreme situation). The other two after succesfull mounting it was working for 10 minutes and then the smallest output value it gives were 6-10 instead of the 0.

Le capteur n'est pas si robuste

Mes étudiants étaient censés utiliser ce capteur bon marché dans un projet final de contrôle de position, mais je me suis rendu compte à quel point il était facile de l'endommager. Le capteur n'était pas aussi robuste qu'un potentiomètre ordinaire mais il fonctionne très bien. Je n'ai pas pu trouver suffisamment d'informations sur la conception du capteur (fiche technique) pour savoir comment fonctionne le capteur et que les fuites d'informations endommagent facilement le capteur.
