The FingerTech Silver Spark 16mm Gearmotor 100:1 is engineered for robust performance in demanding applications. Featuring a 16mm diameter, this gearmotor is designed with larger pitch gears, reducing the risk of gear teeth stripping in larger or heavier setups. The gearmotor includes an extra-long 3mm shaft, allowing for direct wheel mounting, and offers the option to use a bearing block for additional support.
This model maintains compatibility with the 11mm face mount pattern found in Gold Spark motors, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems. The all-metal spur gearhead is paired with a Mabuchi FK-050 motor, providing durability and reliability. The Silver Spark series offers a variety of gear ratios, catering to a wide range of rotational speeds and torque requirements, making it versatile for different robotic applications.
The gearmotor is particularly suitable for robotics, where ease of installation and adaptability are crucial. It can be easily mounted using 2-56 screws and custom motor mounts. For enhanced support in heavy-duty applications, 3mm bearing blocks and flat motor mounts are available.
Note: For use in strenuous conditions, such as robot combat, it is advised to check the alignment of the motor vent hole with the gearbox pin and adjust as necessary. Additionally, applying Loctite to the screws securing the gearbox to the motor is recommended to prevent separation during operation.
