The Fermion: MEMS Volatile Organic Compounds VOC Gas Detection Sensor (Breakout, 1-500ppm) utilizes cutting-edge microelectromechanical system (MEMS) technology. This advanced technology allows the sensor to be compact, measuring only 13 x 13 x 2.5 mm, and to consume low power, less than 20 mA. It also ensures minimal heat generation, a brief preheating time, and a quick response recovery. The sensor is designed to qualitatively measure VOC gas concentration, making it suitable for various applications such as indoor air quality detection, fresh air systems, and air purifiers.
The MEMS series includes 11 different types of gas sensors, including HCHO, CO, CH4, VOC, NH3, H2S, EtOH, Smoke, Odor, H2, NO2. These sensors can be combined according to specific needs. However, it should be noted that this particular sensor is only capable of qualitative measurements. For quantitative measurements, the Gravity: Factory Calibrated Electrochemical Gas Sensor Series may be considered.
The sensor's compact size, low power consumption, high sensitivity, rapid response recovery, and advanced MEMS technology make it suitable for a variety of applications, including environmental monitoring, indoor air quality, industrial safety, fire detection, and health applications.
The sensor is capable of detecting gases such as ethanol, formaldehyde, and toluene within a detection range of 1-500 ppm. It operates at a voltage of 3-5 V and an operating current of less than 20 mA. The sensor outputs an analog voltage signal and has a sensitivity of R0 (in air)/Rs (in 150ppm ethanol) ≥ 3. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -10 to 50 ℃ and a humidity range of 15-90%RH (non-condensing).
