The EVO Slim for West Coast Drive 10.86:1 Ratio is a high-performance, lightweight gearbox designed for competition robots. It is part of the EVO Slim line, which shares many components with the EVO Shifter, including steel gears and aluminum plates. This gearbox is specifically engineered to create robust drive trains and is compatible with the AndyMark West Coast Drive Chassis.
The EVO Slim gearbox is adaptable, accepting either two NEO or CIM motors as input, although motors are not included. It is shipped in kit form, requiring assembly and hardware to accommodate the selected number of motors. The gearbox includes a 15 Tooth 32DP pinion gear, which does not use a key. For those using a NEO motor, a 3-ton arbor press is necessary to install the pinion due to its interference fit. When using a CIM motor, the pinion may be either a slip fit or a press fit, and it is recommended to apply red Loctite 271 for secure attachment.
The gearbox also supports encoder options, accepting either the E4T Optical Encoder Kit or the SRX Mag Encoder, which necessitates a 3D printed mount plate. The SRX Magnetic Encoder Mounting Hardware Kit is required when using the SRX Mag Encoder. This product is a versatile and reliable choice for those seeking to enhance their robotic drive systems.
