ESP8266 WIFI Shield

Works great using with MEGA2560 as a DCC++ Base Station for controlling model railroad locomotive

Not compatible with Arduino Mega

Please note that this shield is not directly compatible with Arduino Mega. You cannot use the `SoftwareSerial` library with the pins on the shield. If you want to use the shield with the Mega, you have to hook up the pin ESP_RX --> TX1 and ESP_TX --> RX1.

Read my previous review on how to hook it up with the Mega.

Instructions plus claires

J'utilise ce shield dans un de mes cours. J'ai rédigé des instructions plus claires pour la configuration de ce module.

PS : Il s'agit d'un "work in progress".

Just doesn't work

I've followed the examples included here (which are not the clearest instructions) and spent hours searching for alternative solutions. Every time I get errors like the wifi module not being present, or ESP not responding. Very frustrating to waste time on this. Comment RobotShop: Thank you for your review, Corey. We have forwarded your comment to the Makerfabs team who have sent you an email.
