The Educational Weights & Forces Measurement Scale Kit provides students with practical tools for real-world sensor applications in STEM education. Designed for students in grades 6 and above, this kit enables easy measurement of forces and weights using load cells.
The Phidget Scale Kit comprises a scale assembly, a Wheatstone Bridge Phidget, load cells (780g, 5kg, 25kg), and all necessary cables and accessories. A 5kg load cell comes pre-installed in the scale assembly, allowing for a seamless connection of the wires from the load cell to the Wheatstone Bridge Phidget for immediate weight and force measurements.
This versatile kit supports various desktop-based programming languages, including Python, Java, C#, and Swift. Additionally, it accommodates browser-based programming languages such as MakeCode (block-based, JavaScript/Python) and Scratch (block-based). The device is compatible with multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Raspberry Pi (and other Linux distributions), Chromebooks, and Android. However, it does not currently support iPhones and iPads.
