The 36mm Diameter High Torque 12V Planetary Gear Motor, 49RPM is a compact and cost-effective motor and planetary (epicyclic) gearbox combination. It has an impressive speed and torque output, making it ideal for use as a drive motor in robotics applications from 3 to 60kg. The motor features a long 8mm diameter output shaft, allowing for easy mounting of wheels, pulleys and other accessories.
The motor can be operated at voltages ranging from 6 to 30V DC. Its operating characteristics are given for operation at either 12V or 24V DC. This motor is smaller and higher speed than other motors popular with robotics hobbyists and special effects designers. The long output shaft is designed to facilitate mounting, however, it is important to ensure that any larger overhanging loads are independently supported.
Two copper tabs are located at the back of the motor body, which can be used to solder or crimp wires to. We also offer an option for 500mm long silicone insulated leads (1mm2) to be installed and ready for use. Please allow for an extra working day for orders with lead options, since these are soldered and insulated to order.
