The 36mm Diameter High Torque 12V Planetary Gear Motor, 25RPM is a compact and low-cost motor and planetary (epicyclic) gearbox combination, providing an output speed and torque that makes it ideal for use as a drive motor in robotics applications up to 60kg in weight. It features an 8mm diameter output shaft, enabling easy mounting of wheels, pulleys, and other accessories.
The motor can be operated at anywhere between 6 and 30V DC, with operating characteristics given for operation at either 12V or 24V DC. This motor is smaller and higher speed than other motors, making it popular with robotics hobbyists and special effects designers. The long output shaft is designed to facilitate easy mounting, though it is important to ensure that any larger overhanging loads are independently supported.
Two copper tabs at the back of the body can be used to solder or crimp wires, though we also offer an option for 500mm long silicone insulated leads (1mm2) to be installed and ready for use. Please note that if you choose the lead option, one extra working day is required to process your order since they are soldered and insulated to order.
