The Dragino WSC1-L LoRaWAN Weather Station Main Process Unit (US915) serves as the central processing unit in the Dragino Weather Station solution. This outdoor LoRaWAN RS485 end node is designed to operate efficiently with an external 12V solar power source and is equipped with a built-in lithium-ion backup battery to ensure continuous operation. It is capable of reading data from various sensors and transmitting this information to an IoT server using the LoRaWAN wireless protocol.
The unit is fully compatible with the LoRaWAN Class C protocol and can seamlessly integrate with standard LoRaWAN gateways. Each device is pre-configured with a unique set of keys for LoRaWAN registration, facilitating automatic connection to a local LoRaWAN server upon activation. The WSC1-L supports remote configuration of parameters via LoRaWAN Downlink and allows for firmware upgrades through a dedicated program port.
This device is suitable for a range of applications, including functioning as a weather station or an RS485 to LoRaWAN converter. It supports both default sensors and third-party RS485 sensors, offering flexibility in deployment.
