The Dragino BCN02 Bluetooth Low Energy iBeacon Device is a meticulously designed indoor positioning solution. It is built on the Diglog IC and is compatible with the Bluetooth 5.1 protocol. This device is characterized by its low power consumption, thanks to its 1200 mAh battery. With a broadcast interval of 500 ms, the device can operate for an impressive duration of 4 to 5 years.
The device is intended to be used in conjunction with the Dragino TrackerD to offer a comprehensive LoRaWAN Indoor Position Solution. Multiple devices can be strategically placed in various locations, continuously broadcasting their unique UUID via Bluetooth. When a user carries the TrackerD LoRaWAN BLE tracker, it scans the UUID and selects the one with the strongest signal to uplink via LoRaWAN. This allows the IoT server to accurately determine the location of the TrackerD.
The device is shipped in a powered-off state for safety during airline transportation. To activate the device, the user simply needs to rotate it open and connect the power connector. The device is equipped with a 1200 mAh battery, which can last for 4 to 5 years under default settings. It can cover a distance of up to 100 meters in an open area and operates within a temperature range of -30 to 60 °C. The device is suitable for outdoor use and is weatherproof. It can be easily configured via a mobile phone.
Please note: The device is powered off when shipped via airline for safety reasons. To power it on, rotate to open and plug in the power connector.
