The DOBOT Atom Max Research Humanoid Robot is a full-scale embodied AI humanoid robot developed by DOBOT for advanced research institutions and demanding industrial deployments. The platform integrates precise dexterous manipulation with natural bipedal locomotion, allowing it to operate across unstructured environments without fixed workstation constraints. Its dual industrial-grade bionic arms deliver the positioning precision required for tool use, assembly, and multi-specification material handling across a range of human workstation heights. Designed to bridge laboratory development and real-world deployment, the robot supports scenarios from automotive assembly lines to pharmaceutical dispensing and precision manufacturing workflows.
The robot leverages a multi-layered AI architecture combining an onboard neural network motion system with a cross-scenario task model trained through both imitation and reinforcement learning. A comprehensive sensor array covering the head, wrists, and waist delivers full spatial awareness, enabling real-time obstacle detection and manipulation feedback at the end effector level. Built-in omnidirectional audio and speech capabilities allow the robot to interact naturally within human-occupied environments and respond to verbal input. The platform supports full SDK access, open-source model training frameworks, and VR/MR teleoperation, making it well-suited for research teams, system integrators, and enterprises building production-ready AI robotics applications.

Capabilities
The DOBOT Atom Max combines onboard AI, multi-modal perception, and an open development ecosystem to support a wide range of research, industrial, and commercial robotics applications.
ROM-1 AI Operation Model
The Robot Operator Model-1 combines base and vertical industry models trained via imitation and reinforcement learning. With 100M parameters and 24Hz end-to-end control, it handles autonomous task decomposition across unstructured environments.
Multi-Robot Collaboration
Advanced edge computing delivering 7.7x standard computational power enables seamless coordination with other robots and human workers. Integrated safety and interaction technologies support high-synchronization tasks on shared production floors.
Full-Spectrum Perception
A 3D LiDAR unit, RGB-D depth cameras at the head and wrists, and waist-level depth cameras combine with a 60FPS Full HD binocular vision system to provide 360-degree spatial awareness for safe and adaptive operation in dynamic environments.
Open Developer Ecosystem
Full SDK access, high-precision URDF models, open-source training frameworks, and VR/MR teleoperation with dual control modes lower the barrier to custom AI development. The platform supports reinforcement learning deployment and real-time motor monitoring out of the box.
Use Cases & Application Scenarios
The DOBOT Atom Max is built for repetitive, precision-dependent tasks in environments where positions vary, products differ by specification, and the ability to navigate narrow spaces is critical to efficient operation.
Industrial Manufacturing & Assembly
The Atom Max handles material transfer, component placement, and multi-step assembly tasks on automotive and electronics production lines. Its high-accuracy arms and configurable end-effector options allow it to operate across varying workstation heights without reprogramming between tasks.
Service and Commercial Operations
In coffee shops, pharmacies, and retail environments, the robot manages repetitive service tasks such as beverage preparation, inventory retrieval, and item dispensing with consistent precision. Its compact-space maneuvering and straight-knee locomotion make it well-suited for customer-facing deployments with limited floor space.
Robotics Research & Development
Research institutions use the Atom Max as a full-body testbed for locomotion algorithms, manipulation policies, and embodied AI model development. The open SDK, high-precision URDF models, and VR/MR teleoperation support enable rapid iteration from simulation to physical deployment.
Multi-Robot Collaborative Systems
The platform integrates into multi-robot workflows on shared production lines and in service environments requiring coordinated operation across several units. Its advanced edge computing and built-in human-robot interaction capabilities ensure safe, synchronized task execution alongside human workers.
Embodied AI Training & Data Collection
Teams developing task-specific AI models use the Atom Max to collect multi-modal demonstration data across manipulation and locomotion scenarios. The optional Embodied AI Data Toolchain and integrated wrist cameras enable structured collection pipelines that feed directly into training and inference workflows.

If you are not satisfied with a product purchased from the Site, you may request a return within 30 days from the delivery date, unless the product is listed under the Return Exceptions below or is subject to specific return conditions noted on the product page.
This return policy also applies, as a minimum standard, to products sold and fulfilled by third-party vendors through the Marketplace.
Returns under this policy concern non-defective products. In the case of a confirmed manufacturing defect, remedies are handled under the Warranty terms, at the Vendor's discretion. See the Warranty section.
Return Conditions
To qualify for a refund under the 30-day return policy, all of the following conditions must be met:
A valid Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained prior to returning the product. Returns without an RA number will be refused.
The RA number is valid for 30 days. The returned item must be received within that period.
The RA number must be included with the return.
Products must be returned in unused, unmodified condition (e.g., no scratches, alterations, missing parts, or signs of installation/use) and in their original packaging, suitable for resale.
Shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of a product confirmed defective through RobotShop's troubleshooting process or of a verified shipping error by RobotShop.
Refunds are processed within 7 days after receipt and inspection of the returned item.
A $100 cleaning fee may apply to domestic robots returned in used or unclean condition.
A 20% restocking fee may apply to large-quantity returns of items ordered specifically for the customer from the manufacturer or not part of RobotShop's standard inventory.
