The DFRobot Waterproof Mirror Reflection Photoelectric Sensor Switch (10~100cm) is a sophisticated photoelectric sensor that utilizes a reflector to ascertain the presence or absence of an object. This is achieved by projecting a beam of light from an infrared LED towards a reflector. The sensor then identifies any changes in the light received by the photodetector, which occurs when an object interrupts the beam. The sensor's internal circuitry processes this change in light level to generate an output signal, which can subsequently be utilized to initiate an action or event.
This photoelectric sensor can detect a variety of transparent or semi-transparent objects and functions within a broad voltage range of DC 10-30 V. It is typically paired with a reflector and can identify objects within a range of 10 to 100 cm. The device is furnished with a learning function button (SmartTune), which enables users to adjust its sensitivity during the initial installation to ensure optimal performance.
The sensor has numerous protective features to ensure safe and reliable use. These include short circuit protection, reverse polarity protection, over-current protection, surge protection, and dual independent output protection. It also can switch between normally open and normally closed NPN and PNP types, catering to different scenario requirements.
The DFRobot Waterproof Mirror Reflection Photoelectric Sensor Switch comes with a mirror-reflection-photoelectric switch, a reflector, an M3 x 0.5 Screw, and an installation plate.
