The DFRobot TFmini-S ToF Single-Point Ranging Solid State LiDAR Sensor 12m, UART/I2C is a compact and high-performance laser range sensor utilizing time-of-flight technology. Designed for both indoor and outdoor environments, it integrates advanced optical and electronic components with an adaptive algorithm to ensure precise distance measurement. Its diminutive size, measuring only 42x15x16mm and weighing a mere 5g, allows for seamless integration into small-scale applications.

This upgraded version of the TFmini features a reduced blind zone of 10cm and is resistant to ambient light interference, supporting a maximum detection range of 12 meters with a field of view of 2 degrees. The sensor offers versatile communication options, with switchable UART and I²C interfaces, and is compatible with a variety of Arduino controllers. It can be easily incorporated into systems using the DFRobot Gravity IO Expansion Shield and the corresponding Arduino library.

Note: The sensor may not function effectively when measuring objects with high reflectivity, such as mirrors, or when transparent materials like glass or water are present between the sensor and the target. Avoid direct contact with the circuit board; use an electrostatic wristband or antistatic gloves if necessary.
