The Devantech DS2832 - 32 x 16A Ethernet Relay offers a versatile and user-friendly solution for remote relay control. It features straightforward configuration and setup via a web browser, allowing control through a web page or TCP/IP with options for ASCII, Binary, or Modbus protocols. Users can receive email notifications for selected events and opt for AES encryption for secure control in binary TCP/IP mode. The device supports simple relay automation and peer-to-peer control, with up to eight 32-bit counters capable of capturing and resetting at a rate of 10 counts per second on inputs. Event scheduling for daily or weekly timed events is also available.
The module can be remotely controlled using free Android and iPhone applications. For those seeking further customization, the powerful dScript language allows for complete module customization or modification of supplied examples. Users can create custom web pages, add logos, buttons, and additional functionality, as well as implement a TCP server to respond to incoming requests or a TCP client to send data packets to other devices using custom protocols.
The hardware includes one TTL level serial port, one RS485 port, and 32 relays capable of handling up to 16A at 24VDC or 250VAC, with screw terminals for normally open, normally closed, and common contacts. The device also features eight flexible I/O channels that can be configured as VFC input, NPN output, or 12-bit analog input. Communication is facilitated through USB for development and RJ45 Ethernet for standard access. Power is supplied via a 12V DC jack (adapter sold separately).
The dScript editor is compatible with Windows 10 or later, Linux, and macOS. Optional integrated snubbers can be added to the board to suppress switching spikes and relay arcs when using inductive loads.
