The Dagu 8x8 Flexible RGB LED Matrix Display WS2812 is a square-shaped panel equipped with a soldered XH2.54 3-pin interface. The pin mappings of this interface are designed to align perfectly with the Arduino I/O expansion shield.

This module is built on either WS2812 or SK6812 intelligent control LEDs, allowing each LED to be independently addressed with RGB pixels capable of achieving 256 levels of brightness. This equates to a total of 16,777,216 colors, with a scanning frequency of no less than 400 Hz.

The LED panel operates as a single wire control board and supports cascading control. This is achieved by simply connecting Din to the DOUT port. When used in conjunction with the open-source Arduino library, an entire array of LEDs can be controlled using just one pin. Each LED requires a maximum current of 18 mA.

For instances where multiple modules are in use, it is advisable to utilize the DFRobot Gravity IO expansion board. This allows for the powering of multiple LED matrices via the Servo Power Port. The module is equipped with full-color RGB, supports cascade control, is compatible with the Gravity Interface, and supports an external power supply.

The Dagu 8x8 Flexible RGB LED Matrix Display operates at a voltage of 5V and can function within a temperature range of -25 to +80 ℃. The LED type is either SK6812 or WS2812 and it uses a Gravity 3Pin interface for communication. The dimensions of the display are 80 mm / 3.15 x 3.15 inches and it weights 130g.

Please note that each LED requires a maximum current of 18 mA. When multiple modules are in use, it is recommended to use the DFRobot Gravity IO expansion board to power multiple LED matrices via the Servo Power Port.
