The Cytron 20A, 6-30V Single DC Motor Controller enables bidirectional control of one high-power brushed DC motor from 6V to 30V.
With its discrete NMOS H-Bridge design, this motor driver is able to support 20Amp continuously without any heatsink. The onboard test buttons and motor output LEDs allow a functional test of the motor driver in a quick and convenient way without hooking up the host controller.
It is compatible with sign-magnitude and locked-antiphase PWM operation. The inputs (PWM, DIR) are compatible with 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V and 12V logic (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PLC, etc). The PWM frequency is up to 20kHz (Output frequency is same as input frequency).

I got this to drive a 20T, 540 sized brushed motor with an Arduino, and it works great so far. (This is for a 1/10 scale DIY RC car). The board is fairly easy to use, and includes a truth table for if you don't know how to use it. The included test buttons are convenient, but I don't like how it brakes the motor from full-throttle since it seems hard on larger motors, but it works well. I haven't driven the board very hard, but under normal conditions, I didn't notice much of a heat build-up if at all. Perhaps my motor is a bit too large, but the err LED turns on here and there, and I'm not too sure why since everything runs fine when it happens. Overall this board works fantastic for small and medium motors while remaining user-friendly enough that the average Arduino hobbyist can figure it out with minimal issue.
Je l'ai eu pour piloter un moteur à balais de 20T et 540 avec un Arduino, et cela fonctionne très bien jusqu'à présent. (C'est pour une voiture RC DIY à l'échelle 1/10). Le tableau est assez facile à utiliser et comprend une table de vérité si vous ne savez pas comment l'utiliser. Les boutons de test inclus sont pratiques, mais je n'aime pas la façon dont il freine le moteur à plein régime car cela semble difficile sur les moteurs plus gros, mais cela fonctionne bien. Je n'ai pas conduit la planche très fort, mais dans des conditions normales, je n'ai pas remarqué beaucoup d'accumulation de chaleur, voire pas du tout. Peut-être que mon moteur est un peu trop gros, mais la LED err s'allume ici et là, et je ne sais pas trop pourquoi puisque tout fonctionne bien quand cela se produit. Dans l'ensemble, cette carte fonctionne à merveille pour les petits et moyens moteurs tout en restant suffisamment conviviale pour que l'amateur Arduino moyen puisse le comprendre avec un minimum de problèmes.
I am now retired. When I was working I dealt with the high end variable speed motor controls. I some really good things to say about the Cytron MD20A... I use it with an Arduino. This let me do a nice smooth accel & decel timing to make my motor do exactly what I want. I am really pleased with the easy way it just performs, and performs. No flaky stuff happening at all. I will probably be buying more of these for other projects. The only thing required is writing good code for the arduino. If you don’t write it... it isn’t there.
Je suis maintenant à la retraite. Quand je travaillais, je m'occupais des commandes de moteurs à vitesse variable haut de gamme. J'ai de très bonnes choses à dire sur le Cytron MD20A ... Je l'utilise avec un Arduino. Cela m'a permis de faire un bon timing d'accélération et de décélération pour que mon moteur fasse exactement ce que je veux. Je suis vraiment satisfait de la facilité avec laquelle il se produit et se produit. Aucun truc floconneux ne se passe du tout. J'en achèterai probablement plus pour d'autres projets. La seule chose requise est d'écrire un bon code pour l'arduino. Si vous ne l’écrivez pas ... ce n’est pas là.
Le produit a fonctionné comme décrit. Semble être un bon design.

Refund Policy
If you are not satisfied with a product purchased from the Site, you may request a return within 30 days from the delivery date, unless the product is listed under the Return Exceptions below or is subject to specific return conditions noted on the product page.

Return Conditions
To qualify for a refund under the 30-day return policy, all of the following conditions must be met:
- A valid Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained prior to returning the product. Returns without an RA number will be refused.
- The RA number is valid for 30 days. The returned item must be received within that period.
- The RA number must be included with the return.
- Products must be returned in unused, unmodified condition (e.g., no scratches, alterations, missing parts, or signs of installation/use) and in their original packaging, suitable for resale.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of a product confirmed defective through RobotShop's troubleshooting process or of a verified shipping error by RobotShop.
- Refunds are processed within 7 days after receipt and inspection of the returned item.
- A $100 cleaning fee may apply to domestic robots returned in used or unclean condition.
- A 20% restocking fee may apply to large-quantity returns of items ordered specifically for the customer from the manufacturer or not part of RobotShop's standard inventory.
Return Exceptions
The following products are not eligible for return or refund under this policy:
- Used, damaged, or modified products — Items that show signs of use, wear, or alteration, making them unsuitable for resale.
- Consumables — Use and wear-and-tear components, altered or depleted through use (e.g., batteries, belts, brushes, gears, filament, tires, disposable bags, lubricants, greases, waxes, etc.). Not eligible for return once opened or used.
- Perishables — Goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Not eligible for return.
- Sealed goods (health or hygiene) — Items sealed for health-protection or hygiene reasons (e.g., masks, gloves, odor-absorbing products). Not eligible for return once unsealed.
- Build-it-yourself products and items requiring customer assembly — Including robots & kits, robot parts, and other products requiring assembly or soldering. Not eligible for return once assembled, soldered, or installed.
- Digital Goods, Software, and Apps — Final sale only, due to licensing restrictions.
- Clearance Items — Products identified as clearance or final sale, including end-of-life or discontinued items.
- Custom-made, personalized, or special-order items — Products manufactured, configured, adapted, or built to the customer's own specifications and requirements.
- On-Demand Items — Standard catalogue products not stocked by RobotShop and ordered specifically to fulfill a customer request.
