TheCyberstars Cyber1 Edu is a research-oriented quadruped robot developed by Hangzhou Cyberstars Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., purpose-built for academic institutions, robotics educators, and research teams. Sharing the same self-developed hardware platform as the broader Cyber1 series, the Edu variant delivers the same agile locomotion and robust mechanical performance while adding dedicated tools for structured learning and experimental robotics. Its aluminum alloy and high-strength engineering plastic frame supports up to 8 kg of payload and handles demanding terrain with ease. The platform is designed for laboratory environments, university programs, and applied research contexts where repeatability and hands-on experimentation are priorities.
The Cyber1 Edu perceives its surroundings through a wide-angle imaging system and front and rear ultrasonic ranging, enabling autonomous obstacle avoidance across varied test environments. Its EDU research function and reinforcement learning training capability set it apart from other variants in the Cyber1 lineup, giving researchers the tools to design, train, and validate their own locomotion and behavior models. OTA updates continuously expand the platform's capabilities, while the mobile app provides a straightforward interface for baseline operation and demonstration. The Cyber1 Edu is suited for universities, research laboratories, and educational programs seeking a capable and extensible quadruped robotics platform.

Capabilities
The Cyber1 Edu combines research-grade tools, intelligent perception, and a proven hardware platform to support structured experimentation and applied robotics education.
Dual Perception System
The 1920x1080 wide-angle camera and dual ultrasonic radar work together to map the robot's surroundings in real time. This combination enables reliable autonomous obstacle avoidance across a range of environments.
Reinforcement Learning Training
The Cyber1 Edu supports reinforcement learning training workflows, allowing researchers to design and validate custom locomotion and behavior models directly on the hardware. This makes it a practical platform for applied machine learning and robotics research.
High-Performance Computing
An 8-core ARM processor delivering 6 TOPS of compute power drives the robot's motion control, perception, and interaction workloads simultaneously. This self-developed hardware platform is designed for both stability and processing efficiency.
Multi-Mode Connectivity
WiFi 2.4G, Bluetooth BT2.1/BT3.0/BT4.2/BLE4.2, and a 4G module provide flexible and reliable communication options for remote operation and data transfer. A companion mobile app and two-handed remote control round out the control ecosystem.
Use Cases & Application Scenarios
From university laboratories to applied research programs, the Cyber1 Edu is built to support structured experimentation and hands-on robotics education.
Robotics Research
The Cyber1 Edu provides research teams with a capable legged platform for studying locomotion, motion control, and sensor fusion in real-world conditions. Its 12-DoF architecture and high-torque joints support a wide range of experimental configurations and movement studies.
Reinforcement Learning
With native reinforcement learning training support, the Cyber1 Edu allows researchers to design, train, and evaluate custom behavior models directly on the physical robot. This bridges the gap between simulation-based development and real-world hardware validation.
University Programs
The Cyber1 Edu is well-suited for undergraduate and graduate robotics courses, offering students a tangible platform to apply concepts in dynamics, perception, and autonomous systems. Its mobile app interface keeps the barrier to entry low while the hardware supports advanced coursework.
Outdoor Field Testing
With a maximum climbing slope of 40 degrees and a drop height tolerance of 15 cm, the Cyber1 Edu handles outdoor test environments with confidence. Researchers can validate algorithms and behaviors across varied terrain conditions beyond the laboratory setting.

If you are not satisfied with a product purchased from the Site, you may request a return within 30 days from the delivery date, unless the product is listed under the Return Exceptions below or is subject to specific return conditions noted on the product page.
This return policy also applies, as a minimum standard, to products sold and fulfilled by third-party vendors through the Marketplace.
Returns under this policy concern non-defective products. In the case of a confirmed manufacturing defect, remedies are handled under the Warranty terms, at the Vendor's discretion. See the Warranty section.
Return Conditions
To qualify for a refund under the 30-day return policy, all of the following conditions must be met:
A valid Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained prior to returning the product. Returns without an RA number will be refused.
The RA number is valid for 30 days. The returned item must be received within that period.
The RA number must be included with the return.
Products must be returned in unused, unmodified condition (e.g., no scratches, alterations, missing parts, or signs of installation/use) and in their original packaging, suitable for resale.
Shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases of a product confirmed defective through RobotShop's troubleshooting process or of a verified shipping error by RobotShop.
Refunds are processed within 7 days after receipt and inspection of the returned item.
A $100 cleaning fee may apply to domestic robots returned in used or unclean condition.
A 20% restocking fee may apply to large-quantity returns of items ordered specifically for the customer from the manufacturer or not part of RobotShop's standard inventory.
Return Exceptions
The following products are not eligible for return or refund under this policy:
Used, damaged, or modified products — Items that show signs of use, wear, or alteration, making them unsuitable for resale.
Consumables — Use and wear-and-tear components, altered or depleted through use (e.g., batteries, belts, brushes, gears, filament, tires, disposable bags, lubricants, greases, waxes, etc.). Not eligible for return once opened or used.
