The Strong Brushed Motor Controller, ESC, H-Bridge, 10-55v, 45a Speed Control is an H-Bridge Driver designed to control a large brushed DC motor in terms of velocity and direction. The motor is controlled by MOSFETs with a 16 kHz switching frequency for optimal performance and noise reduction.
This driver includes an acceleration/deceleration feature, which is beneficial for protecting electrical and mechanical components and is useful for a variety of applications.
The Voltage Clamp Feature is another key aspect of this driver. When the motor acts as a generator and causes an unexpected voltage increase, this feature discharges the excess energy via an external resistor to protect the power supply.
The driver also incorporates two Electric Current Home Sensors to limit movement to the left and right, eliminating the need for additional extended limit switches. The driver monitors the current when the motor is running, and if the current matches the iLimit (a current limit set by a potentiometer in the PCB), the driver will set a Touched Flag and stop moving in that direction. To resume movement, the driver needs to be controlled in the reverse direction or the Touched Flag needs to be cleared.
The driver also offers several protection methods, including under-voltage, over-voltage, over-temperature, and over-current. These protective features are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the system.
