The BlueRobotics 400 mm Watertight Acrylic Enclosure Tube (3-Inch) is made of cast acrylic plastic. This series of tubes represents a significant improvement over the previous generation of watertight enclosure tubes. It features precision-machined O-ring interfaces at each end, which guarantee a consistent and reliable fit with the sealing flange. The smooth surface finish of the tubes ensures optimal sealing between the O-ring flange and the tube.
Additionally, the ends of the tubes are machined to include a gland for a locking cord and a slot for cord insertion. The slot for cord insertion also serves as an anti-rotation feature, aligning with a feature on the flange. This design maintains the flange's consistent orientation with the tube and prevents potential damage to the contents of the enclosure due to flange rotation.
