The Bitcraze Z-ranger Deck V2 employs a laser sensor to accurately measure the distance to the ground, facilitating precise height control during flight. This advanced feature is achieved through the integration of the ToF sensor VL53L1x, which enables the Crazyflie 2.X to determine the distance from the sensor to a ground object with high precision, up to a range of 4 meters.
The Z-ranger Deck V2 is specifically designed to be mounted beneath the Crazyflie 2.X, enhancing its functionality by providing fast and accurate distance ranging capabilities. The sensor's performance is influenced by surface and light conditions, yet it maintains a high degree of accuracy within a few millimeters.
