The Bitcraze Crazyflie Bolt 1.1 is a sophisticated flight controller designed for brushless drone builds, offering compatibility with the Crazyflie 2.X series. It retains the core strengths of the Crazyflie 2.1, while being slightly larger to accommodate more advanced applications. This controller operates on the same firmware as the Crazyflie 2.1, ensuring seamless integration and development continuity.
The device supports expansion boards with automatic detection, allowing for versatile customization and enhancement of drone capabilities. It features an integrated radio with dual antenna support, although firmware support for this feature is not yet available. The Crazyflie Bolt 1.1 facilitates wireless firmware updates, ensuring that the system remains up-to-date with the latest advancements.
A dual-MCU architecture is employed, with a dedicated radio and power management system-on-chip (SoC) to support complex applications. Users can benefit from real-time logging, graphing, and variable setting, especially when paired with a Crazyradio or Crazyradio PA and a computer. The integrated power distribution system supports a maximum of 8A per motor, ensuring efficient energy management. Additionally, the device offers a low latency IMU connection and a low power mode, reducing power consumption to as low as 50 microamperes during sleep.
Note: Ensure proper handling and installation to prevent damage or injury during operation.
