The Benewake TF-NOVA LiDAR introduces a pioneering one-dimensional area detection solution with a line pattern laser beam. It is designed with a compact form factor, making it smaller than a AA battery, which facilitates easy integration into various systems. The device is equipped with a waterproof lens, ensuring its suitability for both indoor and outdoor applications. Its extensive command set allows for seamless integration into existing systems.
The TF-NOVA LiDAR features a 14° x 1° field of view and can detect an area of 25 x 1.7 cm at a distance of 1 meter. It is capable of stable detection in diverse lighting conditions, reliably identifying targets with low reflectivity at a range of up to 2 meters, even in bright sunlight or low-light environments. This makes it particularly effective for detecting black vehicles in summer conditions.
The device supports multiple interfaces, including standalone and networked operations, and can be configured for I/O output mode to reduce data processing workload. It is compatible with UART and IIC interfaces, enhancing its versatility in various industrial applications.
In industrial settings, the TF-NOVA LiDAR is utilized for auxiliary focusing in devices such as cameras and projectors, vehicle door obstacle avoidance to prevent collisions, and real-time monitoring for pallet transport robots to ensure operational safety by controlling deceleration or emergency stops.
