The Audio Frequency Analyzer Chip - MSGEQ7 is peak detected and multiplexed to the output to provide a DC representation of the amplitude of each band. No external components are needed to select the filter responses. Only an off chip resistor and capacitor are needed to select the on chip clock oscillator frequency. The filter center frequencies track this frequency.
Very cool little chip for analyzing 7 different bands of frequency. Easy to wire and works exactly as expected. Can be used for all sorts of music and sound related projects.

Quick and easy sound response
a little noisy on some of the channels, but for 6 bucks, these are incredible little chips that can add rudimentary sound-response to projects.
