Perfect for swerve drive steering and arm joints
The AndyMark Lamprey2 Absolute Encoder Sensor is an innovative 10-bit absolute encoder developed in collaboration with 221 Systems. It is specifically designed for applications requiring precise measurement of output without being positioned at the shaft end, making it ideal for swerve drive steering and arm joints. The sensor features a large hollow bore and a custom PCB with sensor elements, complemented by a custom ring magnet that serves as a sensor target.
The ring magnet is engineered to fit on the flange of 1.125-inch outer diameter bearings and can be affixed to any rotating surface or integrated into a custom 3D-printed hub. The magnet's design allows it to be sensed from either side of the board, providing flexibility in installation. The encoder interfaces through a 0.05-inch 2x5 pin header and IDC cable, facilitating direct connection to Talon SRX or Spark MAX speed controllers.
This version of the encoder also includes a 4-pin PWM style header and a Molex picoblade connector, offering additional interface options. The product can be obtained as an encoder-only unit, a magnet-only unit, or as a comprehensive bundle that includes the encoder, magnet, a 10-pin SRX data cable, and mounting hardware.
