The AndyMark AM14U5 - 6 Wheel Drop Center Robot Drive Base w/ Gear Ratio 8.46:1 - 2024 FIRST Kit of Parts Chassis is an advanced drive platform designed for both prototyping and final design in robotic applications. It offers a large format and infinite configurability, with three main configurations: Long, Square, and Wide. Engineered for performance, it features a drop center wheel for smoother turning and stability. This chassis is the fifth major upgrade since its inception, reflecting continuous improvements based on customer feedback. The kit includes essential components such as HiGrip Wheels, Toughbox Mini Gearboxes, and Gates HTD Belts, and requires assembly and aluminum cutting. Ideal for the FIRST Robotics Competition, it supports various perimeter, wheel, and gearbox configurations, offering thousands of possible playing configurations. The chassis is shipped unassembled and does not include encoders, but is compatible with several encoder options. It is recommended to use a power and control system, such as the Electronic Bundles kit, roboRIO, Spark Max, 4 CIM motors, and PDP, with a minimum requirement of two CIM style motors. The kit also addresses previous issues with improved pulley screws for enhanced reliability. Dimensions range from a smallest frame size of 24.3 in. x 27 in. to a largest frame size of 32.3 in. x 31 in.
