The Ameba Z2 AWS IoT ExpressLink Dev Kit, WiFi, Bluetooth, Multiple IO, OTA Upgrade is a sophisticated development kit that is constructed on the Realtek RTL8720CM SoC. It is designed to provide direct and seamless connections to the AWS Cloud, thanks to the pre-installed AWS IoT ExpressLink. This feature allows for the swift establishment of IoT applications.
It also features an Over-the-Air Firmware Upgrade, which ensures safe and convenient equipment upgrades. The kit is equipped with an 802.11n Wi-Fi radio and Bluetooth 4.2 function, and it offers a variety of IO options such as UART, SPI, PWM, and IIC. It also includes configurable GPIOs for application and control flexibility.
The development board employs a serial interface (UART) and an abstracted Application Programming Interface (API) to connect any host application processor to AWS IoT Core and its services. It integrates an ARM® ARMV8M KM4 MCU architecture, which carries an 802.11n Wi-Fi radio and Bluetooth wireless capabilities.
The board is specifically designed for the use of AWS ExpressLink. It is utilized for quick access to AWS Cloud, secure data management, and control of IoT devices. The board incorporates an ARMv8M KM4, 100MHz MCU, 4.2 MB internal RAM on SoC, and 2 MB external flash on the Dev Board. It also includes 802.11 b/g/n 1 Wi-Fi (20/40MHz), BLE 4.2 Bluetooth, and interfaces like 3 UART including 2 HS-UART and 1 log UART, 1 SPI (Master/Slave), 1 I2C (Master/Slave), 1 SDIO 2.0, 8 PWM, and Max. 16 GPIOs.
