The AGIBOT A3 Ultra Humanoid Robot is a commercial-grade, full-size bipedal humanoid developed by AgiBot (Zhiyuan Robotics) for continuous work in spaces designed around people. It walks, balances and manipulates objects on its own, pairing whole-body motion with tactile hands that pick up anything from a sheet of paper to a substantial load. Within the A3 family, the Ultra is the higher-articulation configuration, tuned for round-the-clock productivity rather than short demonstration sessions. Onboard intelligence lets it break a request into steps, plan a route and adapt when people or obstacles move through its path. Typical deployments include reception areas, retail floors, campuses, utility sites and embodied AI research labs.

Perception comes from a fused sensing stack that gives the robot all-around awareness of its surroundings, indoors and outdoors, with precise positioning that keeps it oriented as it moves between zones. That awareness feeds a control layer running entirely on the robot, so obstacle avoidance, task planning and whole-body coordination continue even where connectivity is poor. Interaction with people stays predictable thanks to layered safety behaviour and steady, legible movement through shared corridors and public areas. Swappable batteries and support for direct charging, ten second battery replacement and autonomous plug-in charging keep the platform working across long shifts and make unattended operation practical. For developers and integrators, an open SDK and a ROS 2 interface on the Developer and EDU versions make this autonomous robot straightforward to fold into an existing robotics research platform or automation stack.

Capabilities

Perception, onboard computing, teleoperation and an open development ecosystem shape how the A3 Ultra works and how teams build on it.

All-Around Environmental Perception

Four camera groups cover the chest, the sides, the forward stereo view and the hips, giving overlapping coverage with no blind spot at the robot's feet. LiDAR returns and camera imagery are fused into a single all-around picture of the space the robot is working in.

Onboard AI Computing

700 TOPS of computing on the NVIDIA Thor platform runs perception, planning and whole-body control directly on the robot. Processing locally supports autonomous task decomposition, path planning and dynamic obstacle avoidance without depending on a remote server.

VR Teleoperation and Data Collection

An operator can drive the robot in real time through a VR headset, working from live camera feedback sent back by the onboard sensors. The same sessions record demonstration data that teams use to train manipulation policies.

Open Simulation and Model Ecosystem

AgiBot publishes official URDF, MJCF, SRDF and STL model files along with a USD asset set for NVIDIA Isaac Sim, so work can start in simulation before hardware arrives. The Developer and EDU versions add an open SDK and a ROS 2 interface for custom application development.

Use Cases and Application Scenarios
The A3 Ultra is aimed at commercial, industrial and research settings where a full-size humanoid has to work in spaces built for people.
Patrol and Site Inspection
The robot can walk fixed patrol routes across indoor and outdoor sites, checking equipment and recording conditions as it goes. UWB positioning indoors and RTK positioning outdoors keep it on route as it moves between buildings and open ground.

Retail and Customer Assistance
In stores and showrooms, the robot can guide shoppers toward products, carry light items and stay available on the floor through long opening hours. Its full-size humanoid form works with aisles, shelves and fixtures designed for people, so the space needs no modification.

Industrial Task Execution
On technical sites such as switchgear and utility rooms, the robot can move between stations carrying a tablet or tooling and complete repeatable handling tasks. Its tactile hands cope with objects ranging from thin paper up to 5 kg without changing end effectors.

Research and Training Data Collection
Research teams drive the robot through tasks in VR teleoperation sessions and record the resulting demonstration data. Those datasets feed manipulation and whole-body control policies, and the open SDK on the Developer and EDU versions makes the collection pipeline straightforward to build.

Live Events and Public Demonstrations
At exhibitions, launches and public showcases, the robot holds an audience with steady bipedal movement and confident whole-body motion. Eight hours of battery life and a 10 s battery swap keep it presentable through a full day of demonstrations.

AgiBot publishes no package list for the A3 Ultra. The items above are taken from the A3 Series manual and are indicative only, so confirm exact contents before ordering; the Ultra ships dexterous Omnihands rather than the A3's silicone hands. Standard, Developer and EDU versions ship identical hardware, differing only in the software and support package.
