Its superior abrasion and chemical resistance distinguish it from its precursor, TPE filament. Given its low shrinkage, parts printed with this filament exhibit precise dimensions post-production. Furthermore, it possesses UV resistance while retaining its elastic characteristics even at lower temperatures, rendering it more suitable for creating mechanical parts. When used with dual-extrusion 3D printers, TPU can be combined with more rigid base materials to design objects with both firm and soft surfaces.
