The Masterpi Hiwonder AI Vision Robot Arm w/ Mecanum Wheels Car, Powered By Raspberry Pi Open Source Robot Car (w/o Raspberry Pi)offers a variety of sensors that can be installed for enhanced perception capabilities. With numerous tutorials and open source Python codes, the Masterpi is an ideal assistant for learning robotic technology and robot vision to become an AI expert.
The Masterpi boasts omni directional movement, with omni directional mecanum wheels allowing for 360 degrees of movement. It is capable of a variety of movement modes, including forward, horizontal, diagonal, and rotation, enabling it to easily tackle complex routes.
The robot is also equipped with a 5 degree of freedom robotic arm, allowing it to pick up and transport objects with ease. Combined with the HD camera at the end of the robotic arm, it offers a first person view.
The Masterpi uses OpenCV for image processing and FPV to recognize and locate target blocks, allowing for color sorting, target tracking, and line following. Through vision positioning of the target object and inverse kinematics algorithm of the robotic arm, the target object can be better targeted and tracked. The robot can also carry out color recognition, picking, and sorting with the provided tutorials and open source Python codes. Additionally, OpenCV is used to extract ROI area, eliminating noise, and performing image binaryzation to enable line following.
The Masterpi supports both WiFi and Wifi Direct connection modes. Connecting to WiFi provides a first person view which is returned to the app operation interface, making remote control more exciting and realistic. The robot can be controlled via the app to move, pick up, and transport objects with ease. Switching robot modes is easy and quick, allowing users to experience AI games with minimal effort.
The robot is equipped with several hardware features, including a 15kg strong torque base, metal gear micro servo, hard aluminium alloy body, 120 degree HD camera, and glowy ultrasonic sensor. The 15kg strong torque servo is equipped with a metal servo horn for greater power feedback, while the metal gear micro servo is equipped with a metal servo horn for higher accuracy and longer service life. The aluminium alloy body protects the core control board from shattering and shock, and can bear heavier loads. The 120 degree HD camera has a visual and tilt angle of 180 degrees, and the vision range is 360 degrees when combined with the mecanum chassis car. The glowy ultrasonic sensor offers reduced CPU consumption for improved performance, and the distance to obstacles and light colors can be adjusted in the app.
