ROSMASTER R2L is a robot with Ackerman steering structure, designed for automatic driving. It supports the Jetson NANO/Xavier NX/TX2 NX board and is developed based on ROS and Ubuntu operating systems. We apply 2MP high-definition camera and combine some recognition algorithms to achieve model training, autopilot, object recognition, tag tracking and other functions. Like other Yahboom robot cars, R2L supports APP/handle emote control. We have provided 80 courses with Chinese and English subtitles, which can help users to get started with the model training of automatic driving and ROS operating system.
1.Complete the code programming of R2L robot based on Robot Operating System (ROS), and demonstrate the latest automatic driving and AI recognition technology.
2.The control board can be Jetson Nano, TX2-NX or Xavier NX. The robot must be controlled by a development board, otherwise it cannot be started.
3.The R2L robot uses the Ackermann chassis structure design, which uses structural advantages to reduce power consumption while the steering of the car is more stable, faster and more accurate, so as to improve the efficiency of the competition, which is a cool thing in the model game competition.

The R2L robot kit has trained a model for this map and can drive directly.

How to choose Yahboom ROSMASTER R2 or R2L robot?
▶R2 robot is equipped with depth camera, lidar and voice interaction module to meet the requirements of mapping navigation, depth learning, 3D vision/voice recognition, robot formation.
▶R2L robot is equipped with a high frame rate wide-angle camera, which can optionally be equipped with an automatic track. Model training and camera visual recognition can be conducted through the Jetson series board GPU to complete the identification of traffic signs and traffic lights, and automatic driving on track.
♦The similarities between R2 and R2L robot:Ackerman steering structure, ROS robot operating system, OpenCV visual recognition, APP remote control, FPV handle remote control.
♦The difference is that R2 robot supports depth camera 3D scanning, lidar mapping navigation, robot voice interactive control, multi-robot formation interconnection control, and R2L robot focuses on model training and automatic driving.
