The SoftGripping Controlbox requires an external compressor and is suitable for high speed robots, where timing and a high number of cycles are essential. Delta and Scara robots are best suited for this Control Box, as well as fixed robots that are in continuous operation and have access to a compressor. Suction cups can also be used due to the additional connection. The grippers are very robust and can be operated at a speed of over 120 cycles per minute without any issues. This Control Box allows the operation of the following SoftGripping product lines: Educational, SoftActuator and SoftGripper, but it is also applicable for other product lines.
On the front, the current pressure can be read in the pressure display and adjusted via a rotary knob. On the back of the unit are the pressure input and two outputs. The outputs control the position of the fingers. You can switch between three positions: Grip, Open, and Relax.
