The Pololu 1000:1 Micro Metal Gearmotor LP 6V w/ 12 CPR Encoder, Side Connector is a compact brushed DC motor equipped with a robust metal gearbox. The gearbox features a cross section of 10×12 mm and a D-shaped output shaft measuring 9 mm in length and 3 mm in diameter. Integrated within the motor is a two-channel incremental Hall effect encoder. This encoder detects the rotation of a magnetic disk attached to the motor shaft, providing a resolution of 12 counts per revolution (CPR) when both edges of both channels are counted.
