The OpenBuilds Dust Shoe for Router (RoutER11/Makita) is designed to efficiently manage dust in your workspace. Its simple yet effective design integrates seamlessly with a shop vacuum, ensuring that material particles are effectively extracted from both the air and the workpiece. This dust shoe attaches directly to the router or spindle, providing a streamlined solution to maintain a clean environment.
The dust shoe features a 2.5-inch shop vac quick connector, facilitating easy attachment to standard vacuum systems. Surrounding the shoe is a 2-inch bristle ring, which aids in capturing dust and debris during operation. The innovative two-part system is secured by magnets, allowing for easy removal of the bristles to provide direct access to the router bit when necessary.
Constructed from clear acrylic, the dust shoe is both durable and visually unobtrusive, allowing for easy monitoring of the router's operation. The clamp ring is specifically designed to fit the RoutER11 and Makita models, ensuring a snug and secure fit.
Note: Care must be taken during installation to avoid over-tightening the pinch bolt, as this may damage the shoe and potentially cause harm or equipment damage. Ensure there is approximately 0.6 inches of clearance between the spindle and the z-assembly.
