The Dual Channel DC Driver for RC, ESC, Motor Controller, Speed Control, 8 35V, 35A/Channel is an improved version of a traditional H Bridge circuit, incorporating additional features and control circuits. These features include: over current protection to prevent damage to the motor and H Bridge components; current sensing to monitor the motors current draw; and various types of input signal control for adjusting the motors speed.
This driver is designed to control two brushed motors in terms of velocity and direction. It also supports an acceleration/deceleration feature, which helps protect both the electric and mechanical components and is useful for many applications. Additionally, the driver has a voltage clamp feature, which discharges energy via an external resistor to protect the power supply in case of an unexpected voltage increase from the motor acting as a generator.
The driver also supports a third channel, which can be used to activate a brake, open a relay, or be controlled via a RC signal or digital input. Furthermore, it includes two electric current home sensors to limit the movement left and right, eliminating the need for additional limit switches. The driver monitors the current when the motor is running and will set a touched flag and stop moving in that direction if the current reaches the iLimit, which is a current limit set by a potentiometer on the PCB.
Finally, the driver supports several protection methods, such as under voltage, over voltage, over temperature, and over current, to ensure the safety of the system. The driver also supports various types of communication, including PWM/Dir, PWM Bi direction, Analog/Dir, Analog Bi Direction, UART, and PPM signal (RC).
