The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage - 04.77:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage - 06.00:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates a refined 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.

Significant enhancements have been made to the EVO Shifter, including a robust 1/8" diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear crafted from AMPCO® 18 Bronze, which provides enhanced strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly has been fortified with a larger bearing and a threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users can independently select high and low gear ratios, with the option to swap between them as needed. Additional encoder options are available, including the US Digital E4T encoder.

The gearbox features aggressive weight reduction techniques and is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, with cluster gears that have identical features on both sides. An optional third stage offers additional ratio choices. The EVO Shifter can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2"x1" box tube frame. It employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for shifting, which can be executed while a robot is in motion.
